View policy serial number and group on SEP for Linux

Issue/Introduction

Verify the policy serial number and group name currently in use by the Symantec Endpoint Protection (SEP) for Linux client. This is useful for troubleshooting policy propagation issues from the management console to the Linux agent.

Environment

• Endpoint Protection for Linux (SEPFL)
• All supported Linux distributions

Resolution

To view policy information directly from the client-side configuration file, run the following command in a terminal:

sudo cat /var/symantec/sep/Index2.xml | grep -i "SerialNumber"
