Export all policy objects in a bunch for backup purpose

Issue/Introduction

How to export all policy objects(agent,HCO,ACO,directory objects,Authschems,trustedhosts,Domains) for backup purpose?

This is to secure a possible roll back after having done new changes to policies.

 

Resolution

Type the following command on the SiteMinder Policy Server to create a full backup with all objects (1):

  XPSExport backup.xml -xb –npass -vT

or

  XPSExport -xb backup.xml -npass

The data will be written in backup.xml file.
  
To export a specific domain:

  XPSExport <file name>-xo CA.SM::Domain@<xid>
