UIM support for MySQL 8.x

Issue/Introduction

We are Installing UIM 20.40 on Windows 2019 with MySQL 8.0.29 but it fails during table creation with the following error: Illegal mix of collations

(503) , java.sql.SQLException: (conn=31) Illegal mix of collations (utf8_tolower_ci,EXPLICIT) and (utf8_general_ci,EXPLICIT) for operation '=': (conn=31) Illegal mix of collations (utf8_tolower_ci,EXPLICIT) and (utf8_general_ci,EXPLICIT) for operation '='

Release : UIM 20.4

Component : UIM - INSTALL

Cause

MySQL 8.x is not supported at this time (Feb 2023)

Resolution

The Product Management Team is currently working on the official certification of MySQL 8.x for UIM.

This enhancement is tracked under the internal feature n. [F126723]: mySQL 8.x certification for UIM DB

This is planned to be released with DX UIM 20.4 CU8 with tentative ETA around Q3 2023
