what utility do we use to copy DELTA library from PDS to PDSE

Issue/Introduction

Want to convert DELTA library which is currently a PDS to a PDSE

what utility is required for this - have tried BSTXCOPY and BC1PNCPY

Release : 18.0

Component : Endevor Software Change Manager

Resolution

BSTXCOPY would be the recommended utility to use to convert PDS to PDSE.

ONLY for Delta PDS libraries, you can use IEBCOPY to convert the libraries.  IEBCOPY will not compromise the Footprints of the Delta records. 

The limitations for using IEBCOPY are
- can NOT be used to convert LOADLIBs from PDS to PDSE IEBCOPY will definitely corrupt the Footprints on the Load modules.

 

-  processor keywords like FOOTPRNT ,  MONITOR or BACKOUT are not supported and can't be used with IEBCOPY in a processor.   Need to use BSTCOPY in processor.
