JAVA API 12.3.9 cannot connect to version 21

Issue/Introduction

When trying to use JAVA API 12.3.9 to connect to version 21 an error message occurs:

This version of 'UserInterface' ('12.3.9+build.1655235965775') is not compatible with server version '21.0.3+build.61'.

 

The "New features" document for 12.3.9 states:

The Java-API can be used to connect to an higher version of the Automation Engine.

Environment

Release : 12.3.x, 21.x

Component: Automic Workload Automation,

Sub-Component: CallAPI Java

Resolution

To be able to connect CallAPI Java version 12.3.x to with version 21 use at least:

Automation.Engine 21.0.3 HF2 - available

Automation.Engine 21.0.4 - Planned Release First Half September 2022
