Issue/Introduction

when I launched the GTDatamaker, McAffee Virus Scan shot down the tool, citing it as a malware threat.
It has classified it as a Trojan.
Is there a way someone can check the binaries and confirm it is ‘clean’.
Also, let me know what must be done to manage the McAfee shooting it down.

Environment

Resolution

There is nothing from the application side we can do about McAffee antivirus software.
We can verify all of our installations are scanned for threats and vulnerabilities before they are packaged and released.
I can also state I have never had a single instance of an update install on my lab which runs Symantec glad these files as a problem.

Your security team would have to investigate this issue for you.
If they found the files are ACTUALLY infected with something the only option you would have would be to uninstall the software and do a new clean installation.

If they are flagging it because it THINKS it's a problem or MIGHT be a problem or is just UNKOWN then you will have to have your security team add an expectation for this.
