Snmpcollector probe having device reachability failures

Issue/Introduction

When the snmpcollector probe is configured and enabled, it is  able to detect  device down and create an alert,

but when the device comes back online,  it fails to detect  and clear the down alert.

If the alert is manually cleared, it returns. The test below will show the query not changing value even after the system is disabled and then re enabled.

Environment

Release : 20.3

Component : UIM - SNMPCOLLECTOR

Resolution

1)System memory was increased to 8gig from 4gig to allow startup memory to increase
   Increased System memory for Xms and Xmx settings in the probe raw config, both  to 8gig.
2) Added two extra keys to the probes' raw configuration setup
   Reachability keys enabled.
   REACHABILITY_CHECK=true
   REACHABILITY_RETRY_CNT=2

 

Additional Information

Recommended an snmp timeout values of 30000 ms or 60000 ms
