Web VPM fails to modify combined objects with spaces in object name

Issue/Introduction

Not able to modify combined objects with a space in the object name.

The Apply button is not active when trying to edit an object.

The message Names must start with a letter and may contain letters, numbers, or the following characters '_' or '.' is displayed when editing an object.

Cause

This is due to a limitation introduced with the Web VPM.

Workarounds

Web VPM

Edit the combined object name to remove the spaces. Once the spaces are removed the Apply button becomes active.

Legacy Java VPM

Utilize the legacy Java VPM to edit the object. This limitation is not present with the legacy Java VPM.
