Endevor recommendation for testing of a z/OS upgrade

Issue/Introduction

Would like to know if it is recommended by Broadcom to pre-test functionality of Endevor on a testing environment for the new z/OS version? (Did not do this before, just tested functionality directly on production environment)

Endevor support always recommends testing Endevor on the new z/OS before performing the actual z/OS upgrade.  In addition to the basic Endevor functionality and any z/OS compatibility fixes that might be required for the version of z/OS, specifically need to test and verify all user written exits and any API programs or processing is working as expected.
