WinRM cannot complete the operation - Unable to modify/provision role to User on AD Exchange Endpoint

Issue/Introduction

We are unable to modify the user profile on AD Exchange Endpoint due to the error:

 

    msg: :ETA_E_0008<MAC>, Active Dir. Account 'XXXXXXX' on 'AD_EXCHANGE_ENDPO

ation.Remoting.PSRemotingTransportException: Connecting to remote server failed w

ith the following error message : WinRM cannot complete the operation. Verify tha

t the specified computer name is valid, that the computer is accessible over the

network, and that a firewall exception for the WinRM service is enabled and allow

s access from this computer. By default, the WinRM firewall exception for public

profiles limits access to remote computers within the same local subnet. For more

Resolution

The issue with modifying the role on AD_exch was fixed by upgrade to CP 1.
