Issue/Introduction

Requested the process in MOI 2.0.06 to update the adServer and adPort values due to removal of the unsecured 389 port in their environment.   The process is outlined in the Resolution section of this knowledge document.  

Note that this applies to release MOI 2.0.06 only!!!   There is a different process for MOI 2.1 that will be documented independently of this knowledge document.

Resolution

Updating the AD security adPort from the default 389 port to a new port:  

1)  For MOI 2.0.06 Active Directory, you will need to change/update the following parameters in the MLSS ISPF Install Option 3  -Security panel to your new values including the  USS Path to AD Server Certificate:  

Active Directory Server (adServer)    <new AD server ip address>

Active Directory Port (adPort)            <new AD port>

USS Path to AD Server Certificate      <please provide your AD Server certificate path>

2) Hit PF3 to save your changes

3) Perform these MLSS ISPF menu options to deploy your changes to your appliance and install them: 

          Install Option 8 Deploy
     Option 1 Deploy Property Files
 
Manage Option 9 Advanced Commands
                  Option 12 Update
                     Option 1 Resend - Update files on the  appliance
 
Manage Option 2 Reboot to install the Security change
 

Once the appliance reboot is completed and all services become healthy, your AD security change should be installed.
