Update scsp_ops & umcadmin password using DCS server configuration wizard

Issue/Introduction

Need steps to update the password for the scsp_ops and umcadmin users in DCS environment

Environment

Release : DCS 6.9.1 & above

Resolution

IMPORTANT **You must update the umcadmin & the scsp_ops password at the same time*

Follow the steps below using the server configuration wizard to update the password in both the server.xml and the SQL database: 

1. Make a backup copy of the server.xml

2. Open the server configuration wizard on the DCS manager

3. When the wizard opens, click next and select the checkbox option to "Change passwords for service accounts"

4. Enter the current password for the SA account, or a new password if you wish to change the SA Account

5. In the scsp_ops and the umcadmin fields, enter a password that is a minimum of 18 characters

6. Click next to review the changes

7. Click next to confirm and make the changes

8. Click finish

9. Test connectivity of the UMC

 

Additional Information

These steps need to be completed on the primary DCS manager, as well as, the tomcat only managers in the environment
