By default the Panvalet and Panvalet ISPF function to compare Panvalet source modules open the Panvalet library with a request for WRITE access.
If the Panvalet library is protected by security products such as RACF, ACF2, Top Secret, this results in a violation.
Can the Panvalet COMPARE access to the Panvalet library be changed from WRITE to READ?
If using PCOMPARE in batch, you can specify READ ONLY access by following these steps:
1. Use the OPEN=INP parameter
2. Apply special fix $CSF001 found in the SPECLMVS member is located in the CBA3SAMP library.
If using PANVALET ISPF, you can specify READ ONLY access by following these steps:
1. Verify that the ISPF Options member PSPIPOPT has &PDLA = 'N' and &POPC = 'Y' set as shown in the Panvalet for z/OS Getting Started manual
2. Apply special fix $CSF001 found in the SPECLMVS member is located in the CBA3SAMP library.
