We are wondering if in case of indexes from certain Automic Database Tables go missing, has Automic the functionality to check and fix the missing indexes while the Application or the Database starts/stops?
Or is it required that the Administrators recreate/rebuild the missing indexes manually?
Release : 12.x and 21.x
Component : AUTOMATION ENGINE
Topic: Database Administration
There is no "self" database healing or similar on Automic or on the Database during the stop/start of them.
The Automation Engine processes correct behavior depend on a healthy and properly maintained Database.
Indexes of the Database Tables should hever be missing or corrupted, unless someone manually drops them or there is an important database issue.
It is a DB Administrator's task to regularly check indexes/tables integrity and rebuild the indexes periodically (which can be done in online mode). This DB Maintenance could be scheduled on the Automation Engine itself or directly at the Database Level and the DBAs should control its correct execution.
In case Indexes are missing or corrupted, please ask the DB Administrator to rebuild them.
