Is it best practice to use ARF for good EOJ?
WA CA 7 Edition
Using ARF for good EOJ can give you unpredictable results and should be avoided.
Use ARF in CA 7 to monitor exception conditions for production jobs and to schedule recovery actions to execute at or near the point of failure. ARF is very flexible in what can be considered an exception. When using a JC (job completion) type ARFSET, ARF processing takes place once a job is requeued back to the request queue upon completion. CA does not recommend using a good end of job as an exception and having ARF respond to the exception because the job will immediately go thru normal completion processing and this could cause the ARF responses to not be executed.
