What ports the infrastructure manager program uses to communicate with the hub.

Resolution

Wireshark packet captures and netstat table shows that the Infrastructure Manager and other system components communicate with the HUB (HUB probe and other probes like controller) on the loopback interface, so using 127.0.0.1 or IP address of the UIM server + port number of the HUB probe - so 48002 (and controller 48000) 

Generally, it is a requirement for UIM servers to have 48000-48020 ports allowed in the firewall and local firewall for loopback connections - these ports are the minimum for a UIM primary server to operate properly.
