Issue/Introduction

While trying to launch DSM explorer receive below error message, SME_TIMEOUTEXPIRED the specified Operation has expired.

The timeout is usually a client supplied value. [CMM208908]

Resolution

Perform below steps on Domain Manager:

1.  Open DSM Explorer - > Control Panel -> Configuration -> Configuration Policy -> Default Configuration Policy/DSM/Notification.

2.  Change the entry under 'Send timeout (persistent)':   from 604800 to 3600.

3.  Next change DSM Explorer ->Control Panel ->Configuration->Configuration Policy -> Default Computer Policy/DSM/AdminConsole

4.  Change the Session Messaging Timeout:     increase this to 10 minutes (600).

3.  Close DSM Explorer.       CAF STOP 

4.  Go to the directory  CA\DSM\appdata

5.  Rename/Delete the following file:    cfnotsrvd.dat

6.  camclose & cam start -c -l

7.  CAF START 

 

Now check if you still get the performance problem with DSM Explorer.
