Issue/Introduction

A security trace command feature was added intoDispatch back in release 11.0. How does this trace get turned on and off and what is the syntax for the command?

Resolution

You turn the security trace on and off from the ENTER NEXT TASK CODE prompt after logging on to Dispatch. The syntax of the command is:

          TRACE SEC ON or OFF

After turning on the security trace, all security call messages being issued by Dispatch will be written into the Dispatch JESMSGLG. From there, they can be reviewed to see specifically which resource calls are failing and which are successful. Once the security problem has been identified, don't forget to turn the security trace off again.
