Issue/Introduction

Can NEVENTS be dynamically changed without recycling the Data Collector(DC)?

Component : SYSVIEW Performance Management Option for DB2 for z/OS

Resolution

The NEVENTS cannot be changed dynamically for a running request, however it can be changed without bouncing the Data Collector(DC). You would need to stop a request, change the NEVENTS in it and start it again, it will pick up the new value.  Keep in mind that some of the requests should not be stopped, for example, the online history ones, however there should be no issue without bouncing the hierarchical probe requests.
