Issue/Introduction

When a user mistypes the jasper access credentials, they are redirected to /jasperserver-pro/j_spring_security_check and get a 403 error.

The applicationContext-externalAuth-template-mt.xml exists under WEB-INF folder.

Using Jasper (internal) authentication.

Environment

Release : 17.3

Component : SDM - Reporting/BOXI/JasperSoft

Cause

applicationContext-externalAuth-template-mt.xml is located in the WEB-INF folder but no external authentication is being used.

Resolution

This  "applicationContext-externalAuth-template-mt.xml" file is used to setup external authentication for Jasperserver. If you are not using any external authentication you can move this file and take a backup somewhere else, and restart Jasper services.

Steps:

1. Go to WEB-INF folder (ie: C:\Jaspersoft\jasperreports-server-7.9.0\apache-tomcat\webapps\jasperserver-pro\WEB-INF)

2. Cut "applicationContext-externalAuth-template-mt.xml" and paste it into Desktop or any folder outside WEB-INF

3. Restart JasperReport Server services
