Issue/Introduction

In prediction there are 2 types of prediction. Performance and capacity. How this types are devided? Are there any specific metrics list?

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

For CPU it is showing as capacity, and for disk free metric it is showing as performance.

Resolution

Yes, both are different.

 Performance predictions are configured through Data definition page, whereas Capacity prediction related configuration is done through CPA configuration.

For performance alarm (predictive insight), we generally enable though data definition as well from cpa-metric-configuration (non pct metrics).

For capacity alarm it iis enabled only from cpa-metric-configuration.
