When SMP Server is trying to download windows patches, it fails.
The latest available patches can be viewed under "Patch remediation center" but am unable to download any of the packages. Hence, unable to create a policy and not able to patch all client machines.

The Proxy or Firewall is blocking external access to the required download URL. Due to this issue Patch Management was unable to download the patches.
From the SMP server using an internet browser, try to access the download URL, for example:
and check if you get / display a proxy/firewall notice page instead of connecting to the Microsoft website to download the patch.
If you get a proxy/firewall page, you need to contact your Network Security Team to investigate why this is happening.
