AWI: Creating Users with 'Add Object' are not renamed correctly

Issue/Introduction

 

After modifying the "USER" template in UC_OBJECT_TEMPLATE




and then creating a user with 'Add Object', 'User', you can input the Username and department that you wish:

Remove /NEW.1 from the department and change Username to Test

Upon clicking on OK, the object is not created with the correct Username, but rather as 'USER/TEST/NEW.1'

Creating the user through 'Administration / Add User' works as expected.

 

Environment

Release : 12.3.x, 21.0.x

Component : AUTOMATION ENGINE

Cause

This behavior was changed in version 12.2. Using the method of modifying the USER template worked as expected through version 12.1.9.

Resolution

This is considered a defect by Automic Engineering and will be fixed in an upcoming service pack release to version 21.0
