Issue/Introduction

We are not able to migrate a deletion using NDVR/DB.  Should NDVR/DB migrate deletions or is this something we are not able to do with NDVR/DB?

 Details:

Deleted record using NDVRBOOK.  The delete was associated with a CCID.

We are able to display the delete change log record associated with the CCID.

Executed NDVR Select and Deliver jobs using the CCID as selection criteria.

Record is not selected and no record delete command was generated by the deliver job.

Note the count for “I004 ENTITIES WITH NO CHG LOG ENTRIES SINCE LAST MIGRATION”.  It appears that a delete is not considered a change?

Environment

Release : 19.0

Component : Endevor/DB for CA IDMS

Resolution

Endevor DB does not migrate deletions.  The objective is to protect the integrity of the target IDD. But if the entry is added back to the IDD, then it is possible to select and migrate.
