Environment

Release : 14.1

Component : CA Directory

Resolution

The above is situation is more of a permission(s) related issue as oppose to configuration related.

Review what the install process is reporting at the very beginning.

e.g. you may see something like this at the top of the install as soon as it begins:

/opt/downloads/cadirinstaller/cadirsp3/dxserver/install
or one of its parent directories is not readable/executable
Trying /tmp/cadir_rnd211573

The above is the most common cause as one of those folders might not have correct permission.

If you indeed see something similar in your case, try to set all folders permission to 775 (if not 777) and re-run the install.

i.e. Taking from the above example, run "chmod -R 775 opt" which is recursive in nature (including 'opt'). It will set each folder in the PATH /opt/downloads/cadirinstaller/cadirsp3/dxserver/install with 775 permission and after that try to re-run 'dxsetup.sh' and it should work successfully to upgrade.
