Protection Engine for Cloud Services Protection Engine for NAS

Issue/Introduction

Logs are not making it from Symantec Protection Engine (SPE) to the Symantec Cloud Workload portal. 

 

 

Environment

+ SPE 8.2.2.7 in AWS

Resolution

BROADCOM is investigating.

Check status of "Cloud Workload Protection for Storage" on https://status.broadcom.com/services/cloud-workload-protection

If no current outages, to workaround, restart the SPE and CAFAgent services.

  1. stop the SPE service. ->/etc/init.d/symcscan stop
  2. wait for 20-30 seconds.
  3. start the SPE service.-> /etc/init.d/symcscan start
  4. stop the cafservice. ->service cafagent stop
  5. wait for 20-30 seconds.
  6. start the cafservice. ->service cafagent start
