Error: API0034S in zOS Explore with MFA

Issue/Introduction

MFA Connection to Endevor from  the plugin zOS explorer fails with error EWS1117I.

The log zOS explorer shows: 

yyyy-mm-dd gg:mm:ss.nnn: [sist] - Get Type Sequence request is not available
yyyy-mm-dd gg:mm:ss.nnn: [sist] - Listing Subsystems failed (RC = 0020).
Messages: 
EWS1117I Request processed by SysID SIST, STC WSEWSSTC - STCnnnnn
API0034S INVALID USERID OR PASSWORD DETECTED
yyyy-mm-dd gg:mm:ss.nnn: [sist] - Authentication failed! 
Reason: Unauthorized

The STC log shows:

ICH408I USER(userid ) GROUP(racfgroup) NAME(username)  
                LOGON/JOB INITIATION - MULTIFACTOR AUTHENTICATION FAILURE
IRR013I  VERIFICATION FAILED. INVALID PASSWORD GIVEN.
ENSRVRAC: PWBS RACROUTE FAILED, PASSWORD INCORRECT

Cause

This issue has been identified as a bug in Endevor. The PTFs to resolve this are located in the Resolution section below; however, if those cannot be applied, please refer to the Additional Information section for a workaround.

LU10504 - for Endevor v18.1
LU10503 - for Endevor v19

Additional Information

Workaround : To avoid this issue with MFA, comment out the ENCOPTBL Option ‘ALWAYS_CALL_ENUXSITE’"
