Content Analysis AV engine and pattern update download is failing

Error: 14094415: SSL routines: ssl3_read_bytes: sslv3 alert

 

Cause

This error indicates that the appliance-key has been expired on the Content Analysis appliance.

Resolution

Confirm the existing appliance-key certificate validity on the appliance with enable mode command - 

#show ssl keyring bluecoat-appliance

Renew the appliance-key certificate using below enable mode command - 

#request-appliance-certificate
