Issue/Introduction

When trying to apply maintenance or printing the checklist for application of a product fix, an "PSPO006B Composite UNITGEN locked because maintenance not completed" error message may appear.

This message can also appear when you have entered END to generate the APPLY JOB.

A special case for when this message can appear is when a UNIT has been deleted via the checklist and somehow entries for this UNIT are still in the SHAREDPREFIX.PARMS(UGLOCK) member.

This message can also show up due to the UNITGEN1 job not being executed.

Resolution

To correct the "PSPO006B Composite UNITGEN locked because maintenance not completed" message.

Go into MWF 5.2.4.4.2 and select OPTION 2

2 - Forced reset of composite UNITGEN checklist lock Submit job to reset lock - HIT ENTER

EDIT THE NEXT PANEL

HIT F3 to execute the job

Go back to the step that failed in the application of the Product Change and resubmit it

For the special case you will need to go into the SHAREDPREFIX.PARMS(UGLOCK) and delete the entries for the deleted UNIT(S).

When it is involving the UNITGEN1 job you can follow the instructions to unlock listed above or you can rerun the UNITGEN1 job correctly.
