How do we backup UIM?

UIM does not have any built in backup solution.

The UIM database should be scheduled and backed up by the database administrator.

The UIM servers if they are virtual machines can have snapshots scheduled to run automatically to backup the servers.

Real servers (non-VM) should have some backup software installed by your IT department and backups scheduled and done on a regular basis.

It is your company's decision on how you backup and how often you backup your UIM environment.

As always, Broadcom recommends testing these backups in a non-production environment first to make sure they are backed up and how they get restored. Once validated, you should then move to production.
