Issue/Introduction

Getting error message  CAY6037E UNKNOWN KEYWORD 'xxxx' SPECIFIED IN OPERAND OF 'OPTIONS.  How to resolve this?

Environment

Release: 12.0
Component: JCLCheck Common Component

Cause

In previous releases of JCLCheck, the "UNKNOWN KEYWORD" value is ignored and JCLCheck continues to perform the remaining JCLCheck functions.

JCLCheck now displays error CAY6037E, and terminates with a return code 0008 because the JCL validation may be incorrect.

Resolution

Review the CAY6037E error message, and verify that the value in quotes after the word “KEYWORD” is valid.  The OPTION in error must be corrected before JCLCheck validates the JCL.
