How do you use the XPS Node Table Entry Panel?

Environment

WA CA 7 Edition

Resolution

The XPS Node Table provides you with node management capabilities from within CA 7.

The XNODE or XN.1 command will take you to the XPS Node Table Entry Panel. This panel allows you to define the CAICCI nodes that will be used to schedule cross platform jobs. You can define permanent nodes and up to 2 alternate nodes per permanent node. The alternate CAICCI nodes will be used if the primary node is unavailable.

From this panel you can also set the status of a node. If a server is down for maintenance and you don’t want to schedule any jobs to that node, you can set the status to OFFLINE and therefore CA 7 will not attempt to send work to that server until the status is changed to ONLINE.
