Vantage scripts not loaded during startup and ICH408I 'INSUFFICIENT ACCESS AUTHORITY' messages

Issue/Introduction

When trying to run various scripts, the following errors are seen in the Vantage MSGE file:

OBJCPDIR NO USERDATA FOR MBR=FUNCGRPS WILL CREATE.  DSN=xxxxxxx.yyyyyyyy.SCRIPTS
GENPDIRI ABEND IN OPEN FOR UPDATE, DSN=xxxxxxx.yyyyyyyy.SCRIPTS
OBJCPDIR NO USERDATA FOR MBR=GRPSMON  WILL CREATE.  DSN=xxxxxxx.yyyyyyyy.SCRIPTS
GENPDIRI ABEND IN OPEN FOR UPDATE, DSN=xxxxxxx.yyyyyyyy.SCRIPTS         

Also, the following types of messages are seen in the Vantage STC shortly after startup:

Cause

The Vantage task needs to have UPDATE access to the various Vantage SCRIPTS data sets (SYSTEM, GOA, AUDIT, etc.).

Resolution

The Vantage task needs UPDATE access to some of its data sets, such as the 'SCRIPTS' data sets.  Further info describing this setup can be found in this section of the Vantage Installing manual:

Vantage needs to be able to update the USERDATA field of PDS (script) members.  If Vantage cannot find the needed info, it will try to modify this data in real time.  Also, the user should always use the Vantage Wizard to make script updates and not do this manually.
