Authntication problem login via SSH in AIX. 7.2

Issue/Introduction

When we login via ssh in a brand new seos installation with aix 7.2 the user is not recognized by the system

 

Environment

Release : 12.8 sp1

Component : AIX 7.2

Cause

The user is not recognized in the system

Setting pam loginflags is not helping

this is what we get

the user USER.3833, is not a system user

 

Resolution

In seos.ini

We change the setting to yes

under_NIS_server = yes

and we rebuild ladb

sebuild -a
