"JCP is not running" Exception : Cannot login to AWI

Unable to log in to AWI as it displays the following error:

No search results available because the JCP is not running

This is temporary, and after about 5-10 minutes, logins are working.



Release : 12.3 and 21.X

The CP logs show the following errors:

U00003524 UCUDB: ===> Time critical DB call!       OPC: 'WAIT' time: '300000ms'
U00003525 UCUDB: ===> 'Wait for free DB connection'
          Unhandled Exception in thread MQWorker-1 ID=78
U00045014 Exception 'java.lang.IllegalStateException: "TIMEOUT error: DB connection pool"' at 'com.automic.database.impl.DatabaseServiceImpl.getConnection():130'.
U00003620 Routine 'com.automic.kernel.impl.DefaultExceptionHandler' forces trace because of error.
U00003450 The TRACE file was opened with the switches '0000000000000000'.
U00003449 Output to the TRACE file is finished.

The DBA confirmed that the connection pool increased to over 200


Modify the maxPoolSize parameter in the ucsrv.ini file.

The default is 200, in this case increasing this to 300 resolved the issue as the DBA confirmed the connection pool increased to 208.
