NullPointerException error occurs when using keytool to create a CSR file

Issue/Introduction

The keytool -certreq command is used to generate a CSR (certificate signing request) file based on the private key in the keystore file, for Clarity PPM. The following message is received after the "Enter keystore password" prompt:

keytool error:java.lang.NullPointerException

Cause

An empty password is entered.

Resolution

The keystore password requires a password to be entered, the value cannot be empty.
