Issue/Introduction

The assembly of a printing network (RPSGEN) with a large number of printers fails with "ASMA013S ACTR counter exceeded". Previously special PTF LS20412 was required to increase the size of the arrays in the printer definition (RPSGEN) and complete the assembly. But after applying solution RO02921, the special cannot be applied anymore.

Resolution

Solution RO02921 RPS - RPSGEN FAILS WITH ASMA013S WITH LARGE INPUT FILES replaces solution LS20412 RPS: SPECIAL TO INCREASE RPSGLOBL MACRO VARIABLES.

The MACRO Instruction ACTR Default of 4096 was not large enough for large input files. This solution increases the ACTR default values within RPS to handle a printing network of up to 9999 printers. The MACRO RPSGLOBL values were also increased to allow large input files.
