Issue/Introduction
While upgrading Clarity 15.9.2 to 16.0.1, at the first step, we found this warning message on a missing Oracle privilege CREATE ANY DIRECTORY
What would be the reasons to grant these privileges to the clarity DB user.
Environment
Release : 15.9.2
Component : Clarity Installation/Upgrade
Cause
Working as designed.
Resolution
The Oracle DB grant privilege (CREATE ANY DIRECTORY) is for allowing the automated DB backups during the execution of the clarity upgrade script. If the automated DB backup option is not necessary then these privileges can be considered as optional.
