Is there more information for the Cmprsize, Cmprtyp and Originsize fields for data sets?
Vantage
CmprTyp The Compression Type used by the IBM hardware/software compression feature, as indicated in the VVDS entry for the data set. IBM records it on only the first volume (segment). For multivolume data sets, CA Vantage propagates the value from volume (segment) 1 to all volumes (segments). G -- Generic IBM compression N -- No IBM compression R -- Rejected for IBM compression T -- Tailored IBM compression Z -- zEDC IBM compression CmprSize The number of bytes of user data after it was compressed by the IBM compression service. This value is for the complete data set. For a multivolume data set, it is recorded on only the first volume (segment), but it is the value for all volumes (segments). Segments 2, 3, etc. can show CmprTyp=G or T but this size field will be zero (or none) because it is reported with segment 1. OrigSize The number of bytes of user data before it was compressed; that is, the number of bytes that were passed to the IBM compression service. This value is for the complete data set. For a multivolume data set, it is recorded on only the first volume (segment), but it is the value for all volumes (segments). Segments 2, 3, etc. can show CmprTyp=G or T but this size field will be zero (or none) because it is reported with segment 1.
