Issue/Introduction

CA CMDB Connector for z/OS getting the following error in the task log:

N18002 UNABLE TO LOAD MODULE ISTCFCMM R15=0004 R1=0806

ISTCFCMM module not found.

Environment

Release: TSFCMD99000-1-Designated Support Engineer-for CA CMDB
Component:

Cause

During system initialization the VTAM message module ISTCFCMM could not be loaded. This module is required for NPF initialization. R1 indicates the failure occurred on a LOAD or LINK macro and the abend code is  provided.

SYS1.SISTCLIB contains the z/OS Communications Server modules to be loaded into common service area and extended common service area (CSA/ECSA) storage.

Resolution

1. Add a DD card for SYS1.SISTCLIB in the VTAM® NET procedure as follows:

//SISTCLIB DD DSN=SYS1.SISTCLIB,DISP=SHR

2. Define SYS1.SISTCLIB as an authorized library (a library listed in the currently used IEAAPFxx)

3. Try adding a STEPLIB DD to the failing JCL pointing to SYS1.SISTCLIB.
