DevTest Kafka message disappears from topic when published from Kafka step

Issue/Introduction

When publishing a message to a Kafka Topic, the timestamp of the message in the Topic is: 
1970-01-01 10:00:00:000
This causes the message to be removed from the Topic after some time when the regular clean up is run.
It appears as if the timestamp is not set or is set to null.

 

 

Environment

Release : 10.6

Component : DevTest Workstation

Resolution

Open a support case to obtain the patch for defect DE532604.

To apply the patch:
1. Stop all DevTest services and the Workstation.
2. Place the patch_DE495173_DE521706_DE535883_10.6.0_LTD.jar in Devtest home /lib/patches
3. Start the DevTest services and the Workstation

Note that SASL login details may have to be reentered after applying the patch.
