A vulnerability assessment scan has been run on a DLP server with an output of:
EOL/Obsolete Software: Microsoft .NET Framework 4.5.2 - 4.6.1 Detected.
You want to check on remediating this vulnerability.
Is DLP dependent upon .NET?
Microsoft .NET Framework has been enabled as a Windows server component on Symantec DLP Enforce and/or Detection Server and it has been flagged as a vulnerability.
The Symantec/Broadcom DLP servers have no requirement for the Microsoft .NET Framework, any version.
You can disable the .NET Framework in the Windows server components if it is not required to run any other 3rd party vendor's software on the same server.
The .Net framework 4.6.2 is required if you have any Microsoft Entra ID joined Windows endpoints.
Install the .Net framework 4.6.2 on those Windows endpoints.
