Issue/Introduction

Issue while running SymDiag on Endpoint Manager (SEPM). Error : Error : Database is locked

SEP 14.x

Resolution

Follow below steps:

1. Backup the logs from "%Program Files%\Symantec\Symantec Endpoint Protection Manager\tomcat\logs\" and move the backup to some alternate location.

2. Logoff from SEPM console.

3. Stop all SEPM services:

  • Symantec Endpoint Protection Launcher
  • Symantec Endpoint Protection Manager
  • Symantec Endpoint Protection Manager API Service
  • Symantec Endpoint Protection Manager Webserver

4. Delete all the files from directory "%Program Files%\Symantec\Symantec Endpoint Protection Manager\tomcat\logs\". 

5. Start SEPM services.

6. Reproduce the issue and run the Symdiag again.
