Issue/Introduction

Issue while running SymDiag on Endpoint Manager (SEPM). Error : Error : Database is locked

SEP 14.x

Resolution

Follow below steps.

1. Logoff from SEPM console.

2. Stop all SEPM services

  • Symantec Endpoint Protection Launcher
  • Symantec Endpoint Protection Manager
  • Symantec Endpoint Protection Manager API Service
  • Symantec Endpoint Protection Manager Webserver

3. Delete all the files from directory "%Program Files%\Symantec\Symantec Endpoint Protection Manager\tomcat\logs\". 

4. Start SEPM services.

5. Reproduce the issue and run the Symdiag again.
