Issue/Introduction

How can I move the Custom Drivers used by Ghost Cast Server and Ghost Boot Disk Creator to new server?

The admin needs to migrate the Boot Disk Creator configuration to the new server.  How can this be done?

Environment

GSS 3.x

Resolution

Install Ghost Standard Tools on the new server and then copy over the Custom Drivers folder found in the following location:

C:\Program Files (x86)\Symantec\Ghost\bootwiz\platforms\winpe10 OR 11\x64\drivers\custom\drivers

This copy of the drivers will include the custom drivers.  Then install WinPE files on the new server and Import the drivers, and you will have WinPE installed as outlined in the following KB article Download, Install then Import Windows Preboot Operating Systems Into Ghost Solution Suite 3.X (Console Installation)

If you need to try copying WinPE to the new server as well, you could copy the C:\Program Files (x86)\Symantec\Ghost\waik_winpe10 or 11 folder to the new server.
