Issue/Introduction

For a BigIP VPR-B2250 model, under Information tab->System resources->Environment one of the Power Supply show it is in bad state, but no alarm was generated. What could be the reason for that?

Environment

Release : 21.2

Component : Spectrum Integrations

Cause

SNMP traps need to be configured on the device so whenever the power supply state change it will trigger a trap to Spectrum server and a Minor alarm will be asserted.

The event is 0x3b70011

Spectrum will not assert an alarm if the trap is not received, despite the state is shown as BAD

Resolution

1. Make sure the device is configured to send SNMP Traps to the spectroSERVER

2. Make sure the trap arrives to Spectrum

3. Make sure there is no Alarm filters on Minor alarms.
