Spectrum OneClick synchronization failure with performance manager

Article ID: 243803

Updated On:

DX NetOps

I restarted tomcat services and its still the same.

In the gui i can see:

A processing failure occurred on the data source during synchronization.

If i perform data source test - it is successful but synch still fails.

Release : 21.2

Component : Spectrum Integrations

The OC tomcat log shows:

Jun 09, 2022 08:03:53.193 (NETQOS/Startup/Container) (NetqosEventLog) - (ERROR) - Error creating netqos integtration database.
Caused by: com.aprisma.util.mysql.ScriptRunnerException: Error occurred while running SQL script.

The mySQL log shows:

2022-06-09T02:15:58.024612Z 0 [ERROR] Another process with pid 14424 is using unix socket file.
2022-06-09T02:15:58.024620Z 0 [ERROR] Unable to setup unix socket lock file.
2022-06-09T02:15:58.024624Z 0 [ERROR] Aborting

this was caused by a hard shut down of the server, which left a lock file on the mySQL socket, that did not get cleared, so mySql could not start.

The MySQL server socket lock needs to be deleted from here Spectrum/mysql/tmp/mysql.sock

$ ls
mysql.sock  mysql.sock.lock
$ rm mysql.sock.lock
$ ls

mySql can now be restarted.  We do not recommend to hard stop the OneClick server in this manner.
