Issue/Introduction

EEP and GSI server engines are not restarting upon restart of the windows server.

Environment

Release : 6.x

Component : DOLLAR UNIVERSE

Operating System: Windows

Cause

The EEP and GSI service of Dollar Universe node by default are set to start Manual, as they will be automatically started by the IO server and can stay started if they are able to connect to IO server.

| 2021-09-01 06:28:37 |INFO |X|IO |pid=p.t| u_io_launch_engines       | Starting GSI...

Resolution

The default value for both services is Yes. To configure EEP and GSI service, to start automatically on server restart, check the node settings -> Startup and shutdown(screen shot below) and set to Yes in case if it's been modified

For example the value No means that the service will not be automatically started by IO server(refer screen shot below).

Note

  • GSI is no longer necessary to be started since version 6.4.x, it has been kept for backward compatibility and not used anymore.
  • EEP, is important as it manages validation of the Resources (File, Script, System...)
