Issue/Introduction

The following messages are seen in the gateways ssg_0_0.log upon startup :

com.l7tech.server.policy.assertion.ServerHardcodedResponseAssertion: Error parsing content type. Falling back on text/plain: MIME Content-Type header missing or empty

Environment

CA API Gateway 10.x

Cause

This message gets generated when a 'Return Template Response To Requestor' assertion is configured with the 'Response Content-Type' field being blank or not populated.

Resolution

Make sure that any 'Return Template Response To Requestor' assertion within policy is configured with an appropriate 'Response Content-Type' such as: text/plain; charset=UTF-8
