Can GSVCXLOG be allocated to a dataset?

Issue/Introduction

In CICS region, can the GSVCXLOG be allocated to a data set instead of SYSOUT=* ?

Environment

Release : 16.0, 15.0 / ALL RELEASES, unless documented otherwise in a future release.

Component : SYSVIEW

Cause

The current documentation only mentions that the GSVCXLOG is allocated to the CICS region via dynamic allocation via the SYSOUT=*  DD statement

Resolution

The GSVCXLOG, as well as the GSVCLOG, can be allocated to a data set via JCL instead of using the dynamic allocation.   The attributes used to create the data set should be as follows:

  Dsorg               PS
  Recfm              FB
  Blksize             2550
  Lrecl                 255
