Issue/Introduction

How do I back up my settings for Symantec Protection Engine (SPE) for an upgrade or re-install?

Copy *.xml configuration files from the installation folder of SPE (Windows: C:\Program Files\Symantec\Scan Engine\ or Linux: /opt/SYMCScan/bin)

Take screenshots of settings. Take care to collect a separate screenshot for each "Views" part for each tab of the left hand navigation bar, so that screenshots would include all config data.
